TinCaps win Game 1

Fort Wayne scored all seven of its runs in the first inning and held on for a 7-4 victory against Great Lakes on Friday at Parkview Field.

Casey McElroy had two doubles in the contest. He knocked in two runs with a double in the first inning.

Jace Peterson had a two-run triple later in the inning.

Fort Wayne starting pitcher Adys Portillo gave up two runs on five hits in five innings to improve to 4-2.

Game 2 is scheduled to start at 8:30 p.m. Colin Rea is the scheduled starting pitcher for Fort Wayne. He is 0-3 with a 3.28 ERA.
