Keys to the game

The TinCaps swept a doubleheader against Great Lakes, winning by scores of 7-4 and 6-5 in front of 6,679 fans Friday at Parkview Field.

Here are the highlights.

Big innings: The TinCaps scored all seven runs in Game 1 in the first inning. Casey McElroy had a two-run double. Jace Peterson added a two-run triple later in the inning. The seven runs matched a season-high for runs in an inning for the team.

Fort Wayne scored two runs in the first inning of Game 2.

Good eye: Fort Wayne collected nine walks in the first game and eight more walks in Game 2. Donavan Tate and Jace Peterson had four walks in the two games.
