And Another Thing

Decency prevails

Sometimes the world really does turn out to be a better place than you think it is.

Case in point: That whole woman-taking-Donald-Driver's-cleat-away-from-the-kid thing.

It immediately vaulted her into first place as the Worst Human Being On The Planet, at least here on the Blob. But now it appears the story has a sorta-kinda heartwarming sequel.

Not only did Donald Driver track down the young man, 12-year-old Stephen Wagner, and shower him with autographed Packers gear, but the woman in question, Robyn Ereth, tried to make amends, too.

It seems she called the Wagners and apologized profusely, then offered to give Stephen the disputed cleat. Stephen's mom, Mary, said she was"wonderful."

Not nearly as wonderful as her son and Driver, however.

Driver took to his Twitter account to implore people to lay off Ereth. And Stephen turned down her offer to give up the cleat, saying she deserved it for all the grief she's taken.

"She didn't know it was coming to me," Wagner said. "I just feel sorry that she's having a lot of mean things said to her."

Now there's a great kid for ya.
