FORT WAYNE -- Changing consumer habits is to blame for a local video-gaming outlet closing its doors.
McVan’s Video Games of Fort Wayne will close within the next two weeks, its operations manager said Friday.
“A lot of kids don’t play using physical media anymore,” Chad Guy said. “That’s just the way the market is right now.
"We closed our Evansville store on May 31 and another one in Indy a year ago. It’s sad, but kids are getting their games on so many other formats now.”
Guy said the company likely will begin a going-out-of-business sale Saturday. McVan’s has three sites in Fort Wayne, and employs 14 full- and part-time workers.
