NIPSCO reports phone problems

The following is a media statement issued Friday afternoon by NIPSCO:

NIPSCO is currently experiencing technical issues with its phone systems. The company is still accepting calls to its customer service line at 1-800-4NIPSCO (800-464-7726), but is focused on addressing emergency needs such as gas leaks or power outages. As a result, customers may experience escalated waiting times.

In the meantime, many common account needs are accessible through the automated system accessible from the 1-800 number or at NIPSCO.com.

NIPSCO is currently working to resolve the matter as quickly as possible and apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause.
