Jace Peterson went 4 for 5 with two RBI and three runs scored for the TinCaps in a 9-4 win against South Bend in front of 6,516 fans Sunday at Parkview Field.

Key hit: Donavan Tate hit a two-run home run in the sixth inning to give the Tincaps a 6-3 lead. It was Tate's first home run of the season and his first home run in 348 at-bats stretching back to July 20, 2010.

Key pitching: Reliever James Jones gave up three hits and struck out two in three scoreless innings.

More numbers: Yeison Asencio also had two RBI. Kyle Gaedele had two hits and scored two runs.
