Yeison Asencio hit two home runs for Fort Wayne in a 9-2 victory against South Bend in front of 3,761 fans Monday at Parkview Field.

Asencio hit a two-run home run in the first inning. He added a solo home run in the seventh. Lee Orr and Tyler Stubblefield also hit home runs for the TinCaps.

Fort Wayne starting pitcher Cody Hebner gave up one hit in six scoreless innings.
