  • K's drop to 4th in rankings
    After getting soundly defeated by the Toledo Walleye twice in the last week, the Komets have dropped in my ECHL Power Rankings. Idaho now tops the list.

    The Fort Wayne Freeze, the police department team, will take on the Cincinnati Firefighter Hockey Club at Memorial Coliseum at 3 p.m. Saturday.

      TOLEDO, Ohio – In what has been a largely excellent start to the season, the Toledo Walleye has proved problematic for the guys in orange and black.

Peoria gets former K's coach

Dave Allison, who coached the Komets in their inaugural UHL season (1999-2000), was hired to coach the American Hockey League's Peoria Rivermen.

By the way, Komets coach Al Sims and broadcaster Bob Chase will both play in the Mad Anthonys Charity Classic for Children. (Click here for more.) Sims tees off in the second round, Monday, at 8:40 on the back nine at Sycamore Hills Golf Club. Chase plays at 8:10 Monday on the back nine.
