In case you haven't heard, the NASCAR boys (and girl) are up over 200 mph on the repaved MIS oval. And now the tires are starting to blister up. And the mercury is supposed to soar into the 90s this weekend, which no doubt will contribute to the blistering up.
NASCAR, though, seems as heedless to what seems to scream impending disaster as IndyCar was last fall at Las Vegas. And we all know what happened at Las Vegas.
I don't want to say the same thing's going to happen at MIS, but the sense of foreboding is definitely the same. You've got 43 stock cars flying around at 200 mph without restrictor plates (the first time that's happened), and you combine that with tire issues, and ....
