The Indiana Select Commission on Education meets at 1 p.m. today at the Statehouse. Unlike that of the two previous meetings, the meeting’s agenda provides for no formal participation by Indiana Department of Education representatives. It specifies only public testimony about rules adopted by the State Board of Education to assign letter grades to schools and districts.

Gregg speaks at Boys State
As delegates stream into Fort Wayne today for Saturday’s state Democratic convention, the party’s likely nominees for statewide office are making appearances in the area.
Gubernatorial candidate John Gregg spoke at the Hoosier Boys State Convention at Trine University in Angola this morning, and Glenda Ritz, candidate for superintendent of public instruction, will be endorsed this afternoon by Rep. Win Moses, D-Fort Wayne.
