Hundreds of motorcycles are expected to gather for a fundraiser ride that will loop around Fort Wayne beginning at noon Saturday.
Motorcyclists wanting to participate in the Ridin For Wishes event can register at the General Motors truck plant on Interstate 69 from 10 a.m. to noon. Participants will be escorted by police and leave the plant at noon.
The group will travel north on I-69, I-469 and then back to I-69, ending at the Harley-Davidson dealership at 6315 Illinois Road, where events will continue throughout the afternoon, Ridin For Wishes spokesman Mark Gevaart.
At least 200 cyclists are expected, Gevaart said.
Sponsored by General Motors Fort Wayne Assembly, UAW Local 2209, Lucky Harley-Davidson and other local businesses, the event will raise money for the Make-a-Wish Foundation.
Registration is $20 per motorcycle. Those who do not participate in the ride can stop by 11 Eleven Lyceum, an event hall adjacent to Lucky Harley-Davidson, where there will be live music, food, local celebrities and an auction throughout the afternoon, Gevaart said.
