The Purdue University board of trustees have disclosed the worst-kept secret in Indiana this morning, approving Gov. Mitch Daniels as the university's new president:

Council and police radios

The planned $17 million public safety and emergency communications system will be among topics Allen County Council members will discuss this morning.

The Fort Wayne City Council, in a preliminary vote, agreed to spend its determined share of the project – $9.8 million. But County Councilman Roy Buskirk said county officials want to know the exact source of the city's money, something the city has yet to determine.
