Timmy’s BBQ of Garrett won first place grand champion in the People’s Choice Awards at this year’s BBQ RibFest at Headwaters Park.

Giving back

Physicians Health Plan of Northern Indiana Inc. awarded scholarships to the following students: Amanda Kaiser of Roanoke, $3,000; Song Kim of Fort Wayne, $2,000; and Evan Armet of Granger, $1,000.

Warsaw Lady Tiger basketball team raised $1,063 during a 3-on-3 tournament for the Habitat for Humanity of Kosciusko County’s Women Build project.

HTFx of Fort Wayne donated K9 cooling equipment, including cooling vests, under armor cooling and a cool seat, to the Fort Wayne Police Department.
