FORT WAYNE – A man told police he threw a 3-year-old boy across a room into a chair because the boy was beating him up, according to court papers.
Ryan O. Stalling, 32, listed in court documents as homeless, was charged Friday with felony battery.
Fort Wayne police were called to a home Monday, and they spoke with Stalling. He told them he was being beat up by the (boy) and that he threw (the boy) to get him to stop battering him, court papers stated.
The boys mother told police her son was climbing and playing with Stalling. Stalling asked the boy to stop, and when he didnt, Stalling became upset, picked the boy up by an arm and leg and threw him 12 to 15 feet across the room into a wooden chair, court papers said.
The boy had injuries to his chin and neck, records said.
Stalling is being held in lieu of $2,500 bail.
