Religious liberty rally set for tonight

FORT WAYNE – For the second night in a row, the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in downtown Fort Wayne will be the site of a prayer service for religious liberty.

The Catholic Diocese of Fort Wayne-South Bend announced Tuesday that Monday night’s congregation numbered more than 250 people.

The Fortnight for Freedom rally Monday was led in prayer by Father David Mary Engo of the Franciscan Brothers Minor.

Tonight’s speaker will be a newly ordained priest, Father Jacob Meyer.

All gatherings begin at 7 p.m. and conclude with a rosary procession at 8 p.m. from the cathedral to Allen County Courthouse Square, the diocese announcement said.

Two other gatherings are planned for Monday and July 3.
