And Another Thing

Service era

Add this to my Reverse Bucket List, aka "Things I Do Not Want To Do, Like, Ever":

1. Stand in front of a Serena Williams serve.

This after watching Serena detonate bombs all over Centre Court at Wimbledon today, enroute to winning her fifth singles title and 14th Grand Slam title overall. I mean, her second serve flirted with 90 mph most of the time. As for her first serve .... well, when she landed one of those 120-mph lasers in the service box, Agnieszka Radwanska, her finals opponent, never even moved. Didn't have time to.

"Can you imagine trying to return one of those?" I asked my wife, with whom I was watching.

"I'd just be trying to get out of the way," she replied.
