The suddenly cold TinCaps lost their third straight game. 3-1, at South Bend on Sunday.

Fort Wayne (10-6, 41-46) had two hits through the first eight innings, and managed its lone run in the ninth, avoiding a shutout.

Fort Wayne starter Cody Hebner (6-4) gave up a second-inning leadoff home run to South Bend’s Matt Helm as the Silver Hawks took a 1-0 at the end of two.

The TinCaps finish their three-game set at South Bend at 7:05 p.m. Monday. The scheduled starters are Ruben Mejia for Fort Wayne and Alex Capaul for the Silver Hawks.
