Graham Spanier may have denial issues, but they're nothing compared to the denial issues the well-heeled Penn State alumni apparently have.
The school harbored a pedophile for years because the football brand was apparently more important than the welfare of largely anonymous children -- shameful, not to say criminal, behavior. But it's also behavior for which the loyal sons and daughters of Penn State seem willing to amply reward it.
Or maybe you can read something else into the fact that, in spite of the Sandusky mess, Penn State has raised $208 million in fundraising -- the second highest amount in school history.
Talk about shameful.
