TinCaps could break streak

With a 5-3 lead over the Beloit Snappers midway through the sixth inning, the TinCaps could be on their way to snapping their four-game losing streak.

Mercifully, Beloit's starting pitcher, Tyler Jones, is no longer in the game. He went 3 1/3 innings, giving up eight hits, five runs (four earned), walking three and striking out two. He threw 86 pitches, including a wild pitch and two passed balls.

And on his watch, there were five stolen bases, one short of the TinCaps' season high and two short of the franchise record.

For the TinCaps at Parkview Field, Yeison Asencio, Austin Hedges and Tyler Stubblefield all have two hits. Hedges has two RBI and two stolen bases.
