Verbatim: 1 escapes mobile home fire

New Haven Emergency Services released a statement this morning on a fire today:

New Haven Adams Township Fire & EMS were dispatched to a structure fire at 7227 Moeller Road at 1:36 a.m. July 12, 2012. First unit was on the scene at 1:41 a.m. and found a 14 X 70 mobile home in flames at the front exterior of the structure.

The home was oocupied by one person who was able to escape out the back door to safety. She did inhale a small amount of smoke, but was treated at the scene and released. Working smoke detectors alerted the sleeping woman, which in turn saved her life. The fire was under control at 1:58 a.m.

Firefighters were able to save the property, and there were no injuries battling the blaze. Cause of the fire remains under investigation.
