Drug sweep nets 7 in area; 3 at large

Seven people wanted in connection with drug investigations were arrested over the weekend in Kosciusko County, according to the county’s drug task force.

Task force officers, sheriff’s deputies and Syracuse police officers made the arrests during a “blitz” early Saturday, the task force said.

Six of the seven arrested face felony charges: Leamond Lowther Jr., 57, of Warsaw, dealing a controlled substance; Stephen O’Connell, 28, of Warsaw, two counts of dealing a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a school or a public park; Jennifer Moore, 23, of Warsaw, conspiracy; Ben Fox, 22, of Leesburg, two counts of dealing a controlled substance; Kadeem Dominie, 22, of Warsaw, two counts of dealing a controlled substance; and Tammy Lewis, 32, of Pierceton, dealing a controlled substance.

The seventh person, a 27-year-old Pierceton man, is charged with three misdemeanors: conversion, driving with a suspended license and failure to appear.

Three men sought during Saturday’s blitz remain at large with felony warrants: Justin Monroe, 21, of Leesburg, marijuana possession and two counts of dealing a controlled substance; John Shepherd, 44, of Warsaw, two counts of dealing a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a school or public park; and Jonathon Crace, of Mentone, two counts of dealing a controlled substance.
