Verbatim: Tip leads to Noble County meth arrests

From a report received Tuesday morning from the Noble County Sheriff’s Department:

On 7-16-2012 at approximately 10:15pm the Noble County Sheriff’s Department received a tip that there was Methamphetamines being manufactured at 8686 E. 350 N in Kendallville, IN.

Deputies responded to the residence to investigate the tip, when they arrived an odor that is commonly associated with the manufacturing of methamphetamines was present.

They made contact with the property owner who gave the Deputies consent to search a barn that was located on the property.

When the Deputies searched the barn there were three subjects located inside the barn. 20yr old Shelby Wainwright of Kendallville, 21yr old Joseph Stephen of Angola and a Male juvenile. Deputies also discovered several items that are associated with the manufacturing of methamphetamines in the barn as well.

Wainwright and Stephen are being held at the Noble County Jail on charges for suspicion of Manufacturing Methamphetamines; the male juvenile was released to the custody of his parents.

Assisting at the Scene was the Avilla Police Department and the Indiana State Police Clandestine Lab Team.
