Death watch?

The statue of former Penn State University head football coach Joe Paterno stands outside Beaver Stadium.

Well, this can't be good news if you're still drinking the Joe Paterno Kool-Aid, or weren't flying the plane that towed a banner over Beaver Stadium today that read "Take The Statue Down Or We Will."

Here's the skinny: If the president of the NCAA is willing to even talk about the death penalty for Penn State, then it's a sure thing it's not just on the table, it's the centerpiece. And it says here it ought to be.

As the Blob opined in the dinosaur editions the other day: Blow up the program. It's the only way the NCAA has even an outside chance of getting anyone's attention if it's truly serious about changing the culture of Big Football.
