Today at the festival

The following events will be hosted by the Fort Wayne Newspapers' Three Rivers Festival primarily in downtown Fort Wayne. Weeklong events with daily times that do not change are noted by an asterisk.

10 a.m. to 5 p.m. – Three Rivers T.R.A.I.N. Display. Special model railroad exhibit featuring an HO scale and fully operational freight yard; regular museum admission applies ($5 adults, $3 students and seniors, and members or kids younger than 6 are free); History Center, 322 E. Berry St.

10 a.m. to 6 p.m. – DeBrand Chocolate Tours. Behind-the-scenes tour through DeBrand Fine Chocolates' kitchens; $5 a person with $5 rebate on $10 purchase after the tour; 10105 Auburn Park Drive

11 a.m. to 11 p.m. – Junk Food Alley. Food vendors offering traditional festival favorites, including elephant ears, slow-cooked barbecue and fried cheese, and new festival dishes, including German chocolate funnel cake; prices vary; near Headwaters Park

11 a.m. to 11 p.m. – Vera Bradley Festival Plaza. Presented by Meijer and Hoosier Metal, park plaza providing meal seating; regional and national entertainment after 6 p.m., with varied admission prices; Headwaters Park East, 333. S. Clinton St.

11 a.m. to 11 p.m. – Downtown Midway. Carnival featuring amusement rides, free displays, free hot-air balloon rides and fee-based attractions such as helicopter rides, laser tag, old-time photos, caricatures and face painting; individual tickets or all-day wristbands can be bought for amusement rides; Headwaters Park East and West, 333 S. Clinton St.

11 a.m. to 11 p.m. – Marketplace, Headwaters Park West, a mini-shopping bazaar; free admission

9 a.m. to 5 p.m. – Art exhibition; University of Saint Francis School of Creative Arts, Rolland Art Center, 2701 Spring St. 35th annual Ventures in Creativity Art Exhibition by the Fort Wayne Artists Guild; free

9, 10 and 11 a.m. – "Don't Miss a Beat" Hands-only CPR Training, Community Center, 233 W. Main St. learn hands-only CPR; free

10 a.m. to 4 p.m. – Super Seniors Day presented by Walgreens and Lamplight, Imagine Master Academy, 2000 N. Wells St. Play Bingo, Euchre or Wii bowling; free admission; for seniors only

11:30 to 1:30 p.m. – Brown Bag Tunes, Headwaters Park East, Vera Bradley Festival Plaza; bring your lunch and listen to music; the Mark Maxwell Experience will perform; sponsored by NPR

Noon to 5 p.m. – Art and music: "The Voice in the Forest," an installation by painter/composer Michael Rhoades; free. Lotus Gallery, 1302 Lafayette St., Suite 205

Noon to 3 p.m. – Ice Cream Social at First Presbyterian Church, 300 W. Wayne St.; free ice cream, root beer floats and entertainment

1 to 3 p.m. – Follow the Pipes presented by The History Center. Concerts scheduled at the top of each hour. 5 to 9 p.m. – 95-cent night at Science Central, 1950 N. Clinton St.

6 p.m. – 3Rivers Federal Credit Union Bed Race, Main Street between Clinton and Lafayette streets.; vote for a buck for your favorite bed; proceeds benefit Mustard Seed Beds4Kids; spectators free; $50 per team of five

6 p.m. – "Who's Bad: The Ultimate Michael Jackson Tribute Band" with opening band the Freak Brothers; $10, kids younger than 12 free with an adult; Headwaters Park East, Vera Bradley Plaza

7 p.m. – 3 Rivers Film Festival, combined effort between WFWA PBS 39 and Cinema Center to showcase local amateur films; Cinema Center, 437 E. Berry St.; free

8:30 p.m. – Movie "Happy Feet Two" at Foellinger Theatre, Franke Park, 3411 Sherman Blvd.; free admission

Road closures

The following roads will be closed because of Fort Wayne Newspapers Three Rivers Festival events:

•The left curb lane of South Clinton Street by Headwaters Park from the Clinton Street Bridge to Superior Street will be closed through Saturday at 11 p.m.

•East Main Street from Lafayette Street to South Clinton Street from 5 to 9 p.m. for the bed races
