Police seek convicted molester

The Noble County Sheriff's Department is seeking information on the whereabouts of Nicholas L. Ramey, a convicted sex offender who is accused of failing to register as a sex offender.

The sheriff's department issued a statement Wednesday that said Ramey, 30, has two active warrants for failure to appear on the charges.

He is described as 5-foot-11, 160 pounds, brown hair and green eyes. The sheriff's department said he was last known to be staying in the Kendallville area.

Anyone with information is asked to call 260-636-2182.

According to Journal Gazette archives, Ramey admitted to fondling a 13-year-old girl when he was 18 at his Kendallville home.
