In Sheep's Clothing is available from Interweave Press as a paperback book, an ebook, and a bundle of the two.

I looked at a hardbound copy from my local library.

The book is straightforward and somewhat utilitarian, with black and white photographs of locks of wool from most of the profiled sheep breeds. The type is large and easy to read. I think the book would translate well to an electronic format.

This is not a great book for learning to spin, but there are some pointers in the back for improving spinning, and a nice introductory chapter about the uses for wool. I love the admonishment that even beginning spinners need to use good-quality wool for practice.

Pages 214 to 215 have a pretty good set of instructions on stretches and exercises that are great for spinners, knitters, crocheters and weavers.

I especially liked how, at the end of each sheep profile entry, a quick glance is given to average fleece weight, fiber diameter, staple length, and location where the sheep can be found.

Overall, an interesting book for the spinner who is ready to move on from blended wools but wants a small guidebook, not the entire encyclopedia, on sheep.
