Restaurant damaged in fire

Moderate damage was reported to a restaurant on Fort Wayne's northeast side after firefighters responded to a blaze there late Sunday night.

The fire at 3101 N. Anthony Blvd., home of Chung King Express, was reported at 10:40 p.m. and took firefighters about 12 minutes to control, according to a Fort Wayne Fire Department news release. No one was inside at the time.

Fire crews saw flames and smoke when they arrived. Inside the single-story building they found a small fire in the dining room, which had not extended to other parts of the structure.

The blaze, which remains under investigation, caused moderate fire and water damage, and heavy smoke damage, according to the release.
