Shortly after 4:30 a.m. Monday morning, the Fort Wayne Fire Department responded to a reported one-story house fire at 3106 Drexel Avenue.
When fire crews arrived they found smoke and flames coming from the rear of the home.
Upon entry crews found a small fire in a bedroom at the rear of the structure. They quickly extinguished the fire and checked for any extension.
The fire was contained to the bedroom and did not extend into the attic.
The fire is under investigation.
