Driver killed in U.S. 20 crash is ID’d

Police have identified a 49-year-old Toledo man who was killed in a crash in Williams County, Ohio, on Sunday.

David P. Kirk was going east in a Ford Windstar minivan on U.S 20, about two miles east of Pioneer, shortly before 9 a.m., the Ohio State Highway Patrol said in a written statement.

Kirk’s vehicle went off the south side of the road, came back into the eastbound lane and swerved, going off the south side of the road again. The left side of the van then hit a power pole, police previously said.

Kirk was not wearing a seat belt and had been partially ejected. Police said he died at the scene.
