Shooting, 2100 Eden St.
Date/Time of Incident: July 24, 2012/ 2:43 a.m.
Victims: Adult male, critical condition; Adult male stable condition
On July 24, 2012 at 2:43 a.m. Officers responded to a shooting in the area of 2100 Eden St. Officers were out at this location previously in regards to a complaint of unwanted individuals congregating in an apartment building within the Eden Green (apartment) complex. Officers dispersed the crowd and left the scene. Shortly after leaving the scene police received a call about a shooting that occurred in the same area.
Officers returned to the scene and located two adult male victims suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Both victims were transported to a local hospital by paramedics. One victim was in critical condition and the other was in stable condition. It is believed that the victims were shot by an armed third party.
This incident remains under investigation by the City of Fort Wayne Police Department, Allen County Prosecuting Attorney's Office, and the Coroner's Office.
