  • Previewing Komets camp
The Komets open training camp Sunday at Memorial Coliseum and we kicked off our coverage today with a couple of stories you will enjoy.
  • Talked to new K's goalie Nagle
I spoke to Komets goaltender Pat Nagle. Super nice guy. And I don't just say that because we're both from Bloomfield Hills, Michigan.
  • K's invading AHL camps
When American Hockey League training camps opened today, there were lots of players under contract to play for the Komets this season who took part.

Sources: Add Thorne to list

I heard from some other people tonight, and they tell me that the Komets have reached terms with Jean-Michel Rizk, Chris Auger and Stephon Thorne about returning to the team this season.

Komets general manager David Franke didn't return phone calls.

Haven't heard anything further on Brent Henley and another name that has gone quiet has been Thomas Beauregard, who starred with Wichita last season.

I believe he's a vet, though, as is Henley, and there's only one veteran spot left.

I'll keep you posted if I hear anything else, but I'm guessing we get a press release on something (Charlie Effinger) on Wednesday.
