No injuries in fires at home, restaurant

No one was injured in separate fires recently at a Fort Wayne home and restaurant.

Fort Wayne firefighters responded to 3106 Drexel Ave. at 4:32 a.m. Monday where they found flames coming from the rear of a home, according to a report.

When firefighters entered the home, they found a small blaze in a back bedroom.

The fire was contained to the room and was under control in six minutes.

There were no reports of injuries, and the cause remains under investigation.

Separately, firefighters responded to blaze at 10:42 p.m. Sunday at Chung King Express Gourmet, 3101 N. Anthony Blvd., where they found smoke and flames on the first floor of the restaurant.

There was a small fire in the dining room; the blaze was under control in 12 minutes, according to a report.

No one was at the restaurant at the time of the fire and its cause is still under investigation.
