Funeral set for Ohioan killed in theater massacre

SPRINGFIELD, Ohio (AP) — An Ohio man killed in the Colorado theater massacre will be buried this weekend in his home state.

The Springfield News-Sun reports a visitation for 27-year-old Matthew McQuinn will be Friday at the Springfield church he attended before moving to Colorado last year. His funeral will be Saturday morning.

McQuinn was watching the new Batman movie, "The Dark Knight Rises," with his girlfriend, Samantha Yowler, and her older brother when the Friday shooting rampage occurred. An attorney retained by their families has said the men covered Yowler with their bodies as bullets flew.

Yowler was shot in the leg. Her brother was not hurt.

The suspected shooter, James Holmes, is being held on suspicion of murder. He won't be formally charged until next week.
