Criminal drug charges have been filed against a northeast Indiana attorney who lost his license to practice law last month.
Noble County Prosecutor Steven Clouse announced Wednesday that Jon A. Criss, 43, has been charged with possession of methamphetamine, maintaining a common nuisance, possession of marijuana and possession of a synthetic drug.
Criss's home in the north 8000 block of Noble County Road 550 East was searched July 17, and the announcement said the charges stem from items found in the residence.
According to the Indiana Supreme Court's Roll of Attorneys, Criss was admitted to the Indiana bar on October 31, 1994, and his license to practice law was suspended effective June 22, 2012.
A warrant has been issued for his arrest.
Anyone with information about Criss's whereabouts is asked to call the Noble County Sheriff's Department at 260-636-2182.
