A man was injured Monday in a three-vehicle crash in DeKalb County in which one of the drivers left before police arrived.
David A. Syphers was driving east on U.S. 6 and getting ready to turn left onto County Road 24 west of Waterloo when he was rear-ended by a black GMC pickup, the DeKalb County Sheriffs Department said in a statement.
Syphers Ford Ranger was pushed into the path of Richard A. Yost, 60, of Wolcottville, the report said.
Police said after the GMC hit Syphers, 39, of Mishawaka, its driver took off.
Yost complained of chest pains after the crash and was taken to a hospital, the report said.
The crash is still under investigation and police said charges are pending.
