Purdue defensive tackle Kawann Short was one of 10 players recognized on the Big Ten Preseason Players to Watch list.

Short earned first-team All-Big Ten honors from the media last year. He had a career-high 54 tackles, including a team-leading 17 tackles for loss. He also had 6 1/2 sacks.
