Friday's game against South Bend started on schedule despite the infield tarp being on the field 45 minutes earlier. Most everyone in the press box was expecting a slight delay, but the start time was 7:07.

It's the rubber match between the Silver Hawks and the TinCaps in the three-game series. The TinCaps won 5-1 on Wednesday, then committed five errors in a 10-6 loss Thursday.

Starting pitchers are: Colin Rea (3-6, 3.58 ERA) for the Tincaps, and Alex Capaul (1-2, 5.89) for South Bend.
