City police raid nets pills, felony counts

Investigators seized hundreds of prescription pills Thursday during a bust at the Fort Wayne home of an alleged drug dealer, Fort Wayne police said.

Scott A. Shell, 34, was preliminarily charged Friday with a misdemeanor count of possessing drug paraphernalia and 12 felonies: possessing marijuana, maintaining a common nuisance, four counts of dealing a controlled substance, four counts of operating a vehicle as a habitual traffic violator and two counts of dealing marijuana.

Along with pills and cash, investigators seized a vehicle and a gun from Shell's home at 1420 Cass St., police said.

Shell was in custody Friday at the Allen County Jail, with a bail of $223,250.
