Asencio has five hits in Fort Wayne win

Yeison Asencio went 5 for 5 with four RBI for Fort Wayne in a 12-7 victory against Great Lakes in front of 5,053 fans Sunday at Parkview Field.

Asencio finished a triple shy of the cycle. He was thrown out at third trying to stretch a double into a triple in the sixth inning.

Asencio doubled in the first, homered in the third and singled in the fifth. He added the second double in the sixth and then singled in eighth.

Jace Peterson added a three-run home run for the TinCaps.
