A Columbia City man was badly hurt in a motorcycle crash Saturday evening in Whitley County, according to the sheriff’s department.

Robert Ramey, 50, was riding south on Indiana 205, north of Washington Road, when he went into a curve, lost control and was thrown from the motorcycle.

The sheriff’s department was dispatched to the crash scene at 5:20 p.m. Ramey, suffering from a head injury, was flown to a Fort Wayne hospital in critical condition.
