Huntington photo wins state contest

A photo out of Huntington has taken first place in the On the Farm category of a statewide competition.

The Indiana State Department of Agriculture announced on Monday the winners of the 2012 Indiana State Department of Agriculture Photo Contest.

Bryan Ballinger won with a photo titled "Indiana Soy," according to the announcement.

The winners will be honored at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the upper level of the Normandy Barn during the Celebration of Agriculture at the Indiana State Fair.

The winning photos will be on display on the main floor of the Normandy Barn throughout the fair.

The winning photographs will be framed and featured in ISDA's offices and in the 2013 Indiana Agriculture Calendar, a joint project with Hoosier Ag Today and the Indiana Farm Bureau.

The department said the photos will be posted at http://www.facebook.com/IndianaAgriculture.
