JCIM workers eligible for federal services

Certain employees of JCIM US-LLC, a Kendallville technology company, are eligible to receive services under the federal Trade Adjustment Assistance program, the Indiana Department of Workforce Development announced today.

The TAA program is offered to workers who lose their jobs due to foreign imports or shifts in production out of the country. The Labor Department rules which groups of workers are eligible to participate.

The ruling, issued July 20, applies to workers who left the company on or after June 15, 2011, through two years from the date of certification.

The TAA program offers job search and relocation allowances and training. In addition, weekly trade re-adjustment allowances may be paid to workers who have used all their unemployment insurance benefits.

Eligible workers may obtain information at their local WorkOne center.
