Milam signs with British team

The Cardiff Devils of the Elite League in Great Britain have signed former Komets defenseman Jamie Milam, according to the Devils' website

Milam, 28, won two Central Hockey League championships in each of the last two seasons, with the Komets and Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs.

The 6-foot, 200-pound Milam has 37 goals and 52 assists in the last two years.

On July 12, Komets general manager David Franke said the team was not going to re-sign Milam heading into their first season in the ECHL.
