River levels rising with work done

Fort Wayne’s river levels should be noticeably higher by this morning. The contractor working on the Edgewater Avenue levee completed the portion of the work requiring river levels to be lowered. On Wednesday afternoon, City Utilities closed a gate at the Hosey Dam on the Maumee River to allow downtown river levels to slowly rise. Residents with floating docks or boats moored in affected areas should take precaution to protect their property as water levels rise.
