What's your favorite area Indiana sandwich?

The Journal Gazette archive
The breaded pork tenderloin from Acme

August is national sandwich month, so naturally, I want to know what your favorite sandwich is northeast Indiana is.

Maybe it's a breaded pork tenderloin from Acme or Nick's Kitchen in Huntington. Maybe it's one of the Panera deli creations or something with fresh mozzarella at Honey on the Table.

Me, I'd have to vote for the Cheddar's Monte Cristo (fried and served with raspberry preserves ... I didn't say it had to be healthy).

Leave a comment and let me know where you find your favorite sandwich and what makes it so special. I'll feature some in an upcoming column, so pretty please leave your city of residence with your comment.
