City rehires former media spokesman

Former city public information officer John Perlich is coming back to city hall to his old job as director of public information.

Perlich held the position under former Mayor Graham Richard from 2004 to 2007. Since 2007, Perlich has worked as media relations manager for Parkview Health.

Perlich returns to the city Aug. 27. After Perlich begins work for the city, current director Frank Suarez will be the director of public information for Fort Wayne City Utilities and Public Works.
