This weekend, I finally finished another project I was working on and went out and bought yarn for a surprise a group of my knitting friends are making.
All will be revealed in time, but suffice it to say that we are each taking a part of the project. I had put off starting mine...and I don't have a good excuse. I just had.
So, I bought the yarn at Sarah Jane's Yarn Shoppe, and cast on. I'm using lever knitting exclusively for this project. It's really coming along. I want to finish this part of it in a week. At the rate I'm going, if I work on it for about 1.5 hours every day, that shouldn't be a problem. That's a bit longer than I usually knit on weeknights, but I'm going to try to rise to the challenge by ignoring housework more studiously than usual. I know, I really sacrifice for my art.
My hands aren't getting sore in the way they normally would, but my arm muscles are a bit tired at the end of the day. I'm thinking that will go away as I get more used to this new method of knitting.
Also, I LOVE the consistency of this technique. The results I'm getting using it are fantastic.
