Ohio boys, 13, drive 657 miles in stolen BMW

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Police say two 13-year-old boys apparently stole a BMW in Ohio and drove it hundreds of miles to Kansas City, Mo., where they were found sleeping in the car in an alley.

Kansas City police said the runaways from Columbus were taken into custody Monday morning by police investigating a suspicious vehicle. It matched the description of a blue BMW taken over the weekend.

Capt. Steve Young said police in Missouri knew the boys might pass through the area because of information that had been posted to Facebook. He said police aren’t sure where the teens were headed or why.

Young said they were turned over to the Jackson County Family Court, which could arrange for them to return to Ohio.
