Indianapolis Tech forward Trey Lyles re-opened his recruitment Tuesday, according to multiple reports.
Lyles, who is 6-foot-8, made an oral commitment to Indiana before his freshman year. He is rated the No. 9 player in the country for the Class of 2014, according to Rivals.com.
“Trey Lyles has decided to open his recruitment,” his high school coach Jason Delaney said in a Twitter post. “He loves IU & it is still #1 but he would like to have something to compare it to.”
A five-star recruit, Lyles averaged 21.5 points, 15 rebounds, 2.4 blocks, 3 assists and one steal as a sophomore at Indianapolis Tech, according to ESPN.com.
He was named to The Associated Press All-state second-team.
He made the oral commitment toI ndiana before his freshman season in September 2010.
