Couple dead in apparent murder-suicide

Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department

The Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department and Coroner’s Office have released the names of a married couple found dead in their mobile home south of Warsaw this morning by officers.

James Willis Kinzer, 47, and Jane Ellen Kinzer, 46, died from apparent gunshot wounds and the deaths appeared to be a murder-suicide, officials said.

Sheriff's deputies responded to a call from a concerned neighbor to check on them at a mobile home trailer in the 2700 block of South Country Club Road. Going inside about 7:30 a.m., deputes found the bodies, the sheriff's department said in a written statement.

County Coroner John Sadler said in the statement that it appears from preliminary evidence that the deaths were a result of a murder-suicide.

Autopsies were conducted in Fort Wayne.

Evidence technicians reported finding what is described as a "lengthy suicide note" at the scene.
